Many people associate “psychedelic” with currently illegalized drugs such as LSD, Ayahuasca, or DMT. This falls short. Much rather, this is about a valuable human mode of experience and a “technology of the self“, which is the name proposed by French philosopher Michel Foucault for methods by which individuals refine their own character. In addition to safe and legal contexts for pharmacologically induced experiences, we at MIND are equally concerned with non-pharmacological triggers of altered waking states. MIND proceeds along the path of traditional multidisciplinary psychedelic research.
