Lucia N°03 is a scientifically developed light device that combines a stroboscope (flickering light) that is flexible in speed and intensity with a halogen constant light, available in different degrees of brightness.
The computer-controlled plays of light are able to evoke altered states of mind that can affect visual, mental, emotional and physical aspects. Three-dimensional patterns, a variety of colors and shapes, as well as deep relaxation and trance-like states are often reported. Each session provides a new experience that is unique and impressive.
Brain activity changes under the influence of the lamp and, according to reports, it is possible to experience a meditative state, even for those new to meditation.
Lucia N°03 is used in the therapeutic, wellness, and creative sector. In fact, a 2015 study showed that the light experiences with Lucia can even enrich the creative process.

Johanna Kemmerer, M.Sc.
Lucia N°03 project coordinator
Johanna is a psychologist (M.Sc. Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy) and a psychiatric nurse. She has been working with Lucia N°03 since 2013, organizing and facilitating workshops with the inventors of the light machine in Berlin, and providing light sessions at conferences and festivals. In her master’s thesis, she examined the effects of the Lucia on problem solving and creativity. Johanna believes in the potential of altered states of consciousness such as meditation, breathwork, yoga, and intermittent light on self-awareness and well-being. She’s been a MIND member since September 2017.
