The „Integration Circles“ (click here for an overview) are a MIND Foundation project that offers a number of formats and methods (toolkit) to support the process of integrating psychedelic experiences. The “Morning after the Ceremony” (=Cologne Circle) is the short format in a family of integration workshops. The workshop is accompanied by practice research and the results will contribute to the further improvement of integration formats and methods. The results of our research contribute to the further development of different integration manuals that will be offered in workshops and trainings.
We invite you to be part of the “Morning after the Ceremony”—the “Guided Integration Circle (GIC) Study”. It will include a movement practice for activation and grounding, followed by a guided experiential practice developed by Regina U. Hess (2017) called “The Hero-ine’s Journey Psychonaut Mandala”. We use the narrative of the three phases of the Hero’s Journey (as described by Joseph Campell) and introduce the mandala as a technique of symbolisation. In the workshop we will explain how to work with this tool for orientation, navigation, and integration of psychedelic experiences. With a brief meditation, we will guide you to activate your memories of the experiences of the night’s journey and then draw them into your hero-ine’s journey mandala, and express the essence of each stage of the hero’s cycle in your psychedelic experience in the mandala.
By taking part in both the group and the accompanying research and by sharing and evaluating your experiences, you will furthermore contribute to expanding the scientific knowledge base for integration methods – and support our vision of establishing the psychedelic experience as a tool for personal and societal development.
