Christoph Benner, M.Sc.

Ph.D. Candidate

Christoph Benner, born 1991 in Berlin, is a clinical neuroscientist. His Master’s thesis revolved around a bioenergetic dysfunction in depression and included applying ketamine to neurons in vitro to investigate its cellular effects. He studied at the Universities of Maastricht, Copenhagen, and Regensburg, and will follow up with his Ph.D. at the ETH Zürich. Besides academic work on the mechanisms of psychoactive compounds, Christoph has written articles about psychedelic medicine and conducted interviews with researchers in the field for both the Dutch NGO OPEN and the Swiss print magazine Lucy’s Rausch.
