Incoming Assistant Professor

David B. Yaden, PhD – Incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in the Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

David completed his Doctoral training in psychology at the University of Pennsylvania where he conducted research on brief mental states with lasting positive impacts using psychometrics, computational linguistic analysis, and non-invasive brain stimulation.

David currently studies the subjective and behavioral effects of psychedelic substances as well as their treatment potential. He is the author of >50 academic publications and a forthcoming book with Oxford University Press called The Varieties of Spiritual Experience: 21st Century Research and Perspectives.
