His research focuses on time perception as indicator of cognitive functioning and emotion. Time perception ranges from milliseconds to seconds in sensory and sensori-motor processing. It also encompasses decades when memory and the anticipation of life periods are concerned. His studies on different temporal-processing mechanisms employ psychophysical experiments, time perception inventories and functional MRI.
