Daniel is an intern at the Research and Knowledge Exchange Department with a background in political science from the University of California, San Diego. As a Global Studies M.A. candidate at the Humboldt University of Berlin, Daniel writes his thesis on the bio- and necro-political aspects of Colombia’s drug policy.
After having conducted a one-year-long field research with various stakeholders within the Colombian drug policy conundrum, Daniel is particularly interested in delving deeper into the mechanics behind the global criminalization of certain substances and the people who use them. Consequently, Daniel is particularly enthused in joining MIND’s efforts to fight disinformation about psychedelics through the creation, dissemination and democratization of scientific knowledge and its fundamental role in the enactment of evidence-based drug policy.
