Gero Niggemeier is Director of Impact and Collaborations and a member of the MIND Board of Directors. He is the contact person for the MIND Members organization. In addition, he is responsible for exchanges with related organizations, designs cooperative ventures, and works to have a positive impact on society and the environment.
He studied economics at the University of Witten/Herdecke, where he was appointed to the shareholders’ meeting of the university and was a board member of the Studierenden Gesellschaft Witten/Herdecke e.V.. He was then elected to the advisory board of the Reinhard Mohn Institute for Corporate Governance and Management for a five-year term. Before joining the MIND Foundation, he was responsible for German business development in an international consumer goods company. He was also an elected member of the steering committee “Ich will fair” (“I want fair” in English) of the German Federal Ministry for Economy Cooperation and Development.
Together with the MIND Foundation, he brings to light new therapeutic perspectives for fellow humans who may be suffering and sick. In addition, he counters the stigmatization of mental illness in general and the use of corresponding unconventional forms of therapy.
