Originally from Romania, Vlad joined the MIND Foundation in August 2020. Currently, he works in the Research & Programs Department. His tasks range from working on educational initiatives regarding psychedelics and other psychoactive substances to digital media design and technical assistance.
In 2020, Vlad completed a master’s degree in neuroscience at the University of Bordeaux, writing his thesis at the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience in Berlin. Prior to his graduate studies, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and cellular biology from Jacobs University, in Bremen. During his time there, he worked as a stagehand and sound engineer while also being involved in several art projects and events.
Vlad believes that psychedelics have a great potential as a tool to understand, transform and heal the human consciousness. He is dedicating his time to aiding the research and communication that is necessary for the safe integration of psychedelic states into society.
