TERMS AND CONDITIONS
REGISTRATION
The registration must be done via the electronic forms of our website mind-foundation.org or in writing by mail.
REGISTRATION FEES
Participation fees for seminars, further education, conferences, etc., do not include accommodation and meals – if not explicitly mentioned in the event description!
Our participation fees are exempt from VAT in accordance with § 4 Abs. 22a UStG.
PRICE
For all seminars, the base price stated on https://mind-foundation.org applies.
DISCOUNT
Individuals with low income and assets can receive a discount on individual applications’ participation fee for all seminars and other events. In addition to personal information, the current income and wealth situation should briefly be described in the application. On request, this must be documented in writing.
One way of doing this is the MIND Access, Equity, and Diversity Program (AED). It was designed to make MIND programs more accessible for participants with a genuine interest in our work, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Individuals who’s AED Program application for BEYOND EXPERIENCE or FOOTSTEPS has been approved will receive a coupon code to purchase their workshop ticket at least 2 weeks before the event. Applicants are not entitled to participate in the workshop by application only.
DUE DATE OF THE PARTICIPATION FEE
The participation fee is due at least two weeks before the start of the event.
If the registration for the event takes place later, it is due upon receipt of the registration confirmation.
In the case of training and further education, the event fee is payable proportionally before each stage.
The exact terms of payment are on mind-foundation.org and different payment methods for individual events are mentioned in the respective event.
ACCOMMODATION
If not explicitly mentioned, the participants have to take care of accommodation themselves.

Participation fees as well as all other possible costs, please transfer at maturity to the following account:

Please always indicate the order reference when paying. Cash payment in advance of an event is only possible with an additional processing fee of Euro 25.-, as this will result in administrative costs. A written payment slip will be issued in this case.
WITHDRAWAL FROM AN EVENT BY THE PARTICIPANT
The cancellation or cancellation of the seminar must be in writing – by mail or by email and be confirmed by us in writing. The following conditions apply:
1. INDIVIDUAL EVENTS (FROM 1 TO 7 DAYS)
Cancellation / rebooking up to one month before the seminar / event begins:
A processing / transfer fee of € 75.00 is due. If the event fee has already been paid, it will be refunded within 4 weeks after the canceled event less this fee.
Cancellation / rebooking within the month before the seminar / event begins:
A reimbursement of the event fee – less 75.00 handling / transfer fee will only be made if a person on the waiting list could claim the reserved space or if you send a substitute participant. Otherwise, the participant will be required to pay the event fee in full, minus any expenses saved by MIND Foundation. This also applies to short-term cancellations due to illness or cancellation of the event participation. In special cases, the customer can request a refund in the form of a voucher, that can be redeemed for any other event hosted by the MIND Foundation.
The participant remains free to prove that the cancellation of the participation is attributable to a breach of contract by MIND Foundation.
The reimbursement of expenses will not be due even if participants can move up from the waiting list.
The canceling participant has the right to name a substitute participant, who enters into the contract and assumes the rights and obligations from it.
Entry into the contract is only effective if the entrant declares this in writing to the institute prior to the beginning of the seminar.
2. FURTHER EDUCATION (PROFESSIONAL TRAINING)
Cancellation / rebooking up to one month before the start of the seminar:
If the registration is canceled within 14 days after receipt of the confirmation of participation, 75.00 processing fee will be charged. Otherwise the charge or transfer fee is 150.00.
Resignation within one month before the beginning of the first seminar section:
A reimbursement of the event fee less a 75.00 processing fee will only be made if a person from the waiting list could claim the booked space or if you can send a substitute participant. Otherwise the full event fee will be charged. This also applies to short-term cancellations due to illness and to termination of the training or further education by the participant.
STATUTORY CANCELLATION PERIOD
The statutory 14-day cancellation period of consumer contracts ( § 355 para. 2 BGB ) does not apply in relation to events offered by us with a fixed date pursuant to § 312 g para. 2 No. 9 BGB.
IMPORTANT NOTE
We recommend to take out a seminar insurance.
CANCELLATION OF EVENTS BY THE MIND FOUNDATION
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the cancellation of events by the organizer (“MIND Foundation”) in Germany and worldwide. By participating in or purchasing tickets for an event organized by the MIND Foundation, you (“Attendee”) agree to these Terms.
- Cancellation Rights: a. The MIND Foundation reserves the right to cancel or postpone an event for any reason, including but not limited to unforeseen circumstances, low ticket sales, force majeure, or any other event beyond the MIND Foundation’s reasonable control. b. In the event of cancellation, the MIND Foundation will make reasonable efforts to notify the Attendee promptly using the contact information provided during the ticket purchase process.
- Refunds: a. In case of event cancellation by the MIND Foundation, Attendees will be entitled to a refund of the ticket price. b. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the ticket purchase, unless otherwise agreed upon by the MIND Foundation. c. The MIND Foundation will process the refund within a reasonable period following the cancellation announcement.
- Ticket Exchanges and Transfers: a. If an event is canceled or rescheduled, the MIND Foundation may offer Attendees the option to exchange their tickets for a future event organized by MIND Foundation. Attendees can choose to accept or decline this offer. b. Ticket transfers to another person may be permitted at the MIND Foundation’s discretion. Any request for a ticket transfer should be made in writing and must include the necessary details of the transferee.
- Limitation of Liability: a. The MIND Foundation shall not be liable to Attendees for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from event cancellation or any related actions. b. The MIND Foundation’s liability, if any, shall be limited to the refund of the ticket price paid by the Attendee.
- Force Majeure: a. The MIND Foundation shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, government actions, or labor disputes.
- Modification or Termination of Events: a. The MIND Foundation reserves the right to modify or terminate an event, including but not limited to changes in the venue, date, time, or program, without prior notice. In such cases, the MIND Foundation will make reasonable efforts to inform Attendees of any significant changes as soon as possible.
UNDERBOOKING OF THE SEMINARS
If an event is underbooked, we reserve the right to shorten the event’s total duration with unchanged content. We reserve the right to hold the seminar with less facilitaros than announced for events with more than one facilitator. The participants have an extraordinary right of termination in case of a change of seminar facilitators.
This termination can be explained to the organizer by 7 days before the beginning of the seminar by mail, or e-mail. Decisive is the time of receipt of the declaration by us.
A later statement is only effective if the participant proves that he / she has reached our notice late and the notice of termination was given immediately after knowledge.
The decision as to whether or not there will be a shortage will be made at least 10 days before the start of the event and they will inform the participants immediately with reference to the intended changes.
Claims against MIND Foundation to reduce the event fee are not incurred in both cases.
LIABILITY
MIND Foundation and its legal representatives or vicarious agents are only liable for grossly negligent or deliberate behavior; The same applies to other persons (vicarious agents), insofar as MIND Foundation must be attributed their behavior.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL STABILITY OF THE PARTICIPANT
Each participant is responsible for their own physical and mental fitness for our respective events. He / she undertakes to comply with all additional information provided by us.
Liability for any kind of impairment due to the lack of suitability of a participant or due to non-observance of instructions is expressly excluded as far as legally permissible.
For permanent medical treatment, because of physical or mental illness, please inform us and present a certificate from the attending physician about the ability to participate.
CARPOOLING
We do not assume any liability for the journey to the venue, even within the framework of carpools agreed between the participants. Internal liability agreements between the participants of such carpools remain reserved to them.
Insofar as travel contract law applies, our liability is limited in accordance with § 651A BGB to a maximum amount of three times the event price.
Any further disclaimers remain unaffected.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
a. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. The place of jurisdiction is Berlin.
b. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Germany.
By participating in or purchasing tickets for an event organized by the MIND Foundation, the Attendee acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions by the MIND Foundation.
