Are you looking for new methods of exploring your mind? Take your chance to stop by for a psychedelic light session with Lucia N°03! Lucia N°03 is a scientifically developed light device, that is able to induce altered states of mind by rhythmical flashes of light. Most people will be able to experience beautiful kaleidoscopic imagery and dive deeply into meditative states. The sessions are guided and done individually, so you are able to fully relax and enjoy yourself.
We are offering guided 45-minute sessions, including an individual introduction and explanation of the effects of Lucia. All earnings are directly funding the MIND Foundation’s further research in psychedelic science!

If you want to have a session on a specific date, which is not offered, feel free to contact Lucia@mind-foundation.org to make an appointment.

Event in the MIND Academy’s Forum Bewusstseinskultur
“Scientific research programs on consciousness and its neurofunctional correlates could be greatly optimized if researchers were well travelled in phenomenal state space, if they were cultivated in terms of the richness of their own inner experience as well.“
Prof. Dr. Thomas Metzinger
The Forum Bewusstseinskultur includes events that address a general public. Usually there is no or low requirement for technical terminology. The Forum Bewusstseinskultur strives for connecting science and culture. We seek to establish an evidence-based culture of consciousness. The Forum Bewusstseinskultur integrates first and third person perspectives on consciousness and particularly the psychedelic experience. Therapy versus Self-Treatment: Highlighting challenges in the development of legal and safe psychedelic therapies
On Monday Jan 28th, 2019 at 7.30 pm, the MIND Academy invites you to a public talk followed by a panel on “Therapy versus Self-Treatment: Highlighting the challenges in the development of legal and safe psychedelic therapy” by Dr. Henrik Jungaberle. We will confirm the panelists in the course of this week and will be happy to invite participants from the audience on stage as well. The panel will be moderated by Dr. med. Andrea Jungaberle.
The presentation draws on research about self-treatment in the psychedelic field from a 10-year-longitudinal project at the University of Heidelberg by the presenter and his research group. It will be framed in the context of the most recent developments in evidence-based psychedelic research and therapies.
Traditionally, the use of psychedelics is categorized as either therapeutic, recreational or spiritual/religious. The first is usually thought to require the assistance of a therapeutic guide, whereas the second is directed by the person using psychedelics herself and the third – “spiritual uses” – may involve a larger variety of directed or self-empowered practices.
Should we consider self-treatment with psychedelics a problematic form of self-medication or courageous self-empowerment?
What arethe concepts for regulation and education of people given the considerable number of groups in society who may be self-treating?
Does self-treatment with psychedelics harm or hurt the therapeutic process?
Are there people for whomsuch forms of self-treatment actually work well and others who rather suffer from these practices?
Beginning with the topic of “self-treatment,” the MIND Academy is introducing a series of public discussions about challenges that come with the psychedelic renaissance. These involve presentations and panels with national and international experts on topics like drug side effects, triggered or aggravated psychiatric conditions, patients’ unfavourable expectations around therapy and therapists (like breakthrough fantasies), narcissistic therapist personalities, abuse of power by therapists like “guruism” and sexual misconduct, the idealization of spirituality within psychotherapies, therapists’ training and others.
Dr. sc.hum. Henrik Jungaberle has his doctorate in the human sciences and works as a prevention, drug and psychedelic researcher and author. He has treated patients and conducted research at the University Hospital Heidelberg for almost 20 years. The panelists will be announced later in the week.
