Are you a philosopher, anthropologist, sociologist… or an advanced student in any of these fields? Would you like to work together with other professionals towards developing a conceptual and theoretical framework around the psychedelic experience, and doing so contribute to shaping a culture of consciousness or Bewusstseinskultur?

The Philosophy Professionals Section is the space for MIND members to jointly advance the development and promotion of psychedelic philosophy. Through our monthly meetups, you will have the chance to discuss articles and ideas and develop common projects, like co-written articles, with other professionals in and beyond your field.

We aim at fostering the interaction between philosophers of various specialties (philosophy of mind, epistemology, ethics, political philosophy) as well as researchers from other human and society-related disciplines, in order to form a transdisciplinary network which brings a holistic perspective on the questions non-ordinary states of consciousness pose for individuals and societies.

The outcomes of this Professional Section shall ultimately be shared with both academics and the broader public, via the MIND Academy platforms, as well as external ones, like academic journals, talks and conferences, like our INSIGHT conference 2021.

The Philosophy Professional Section will occasionally receive the support and guidance from eminent researchers belonging to the MIND Scientific Advisory Board.

Are you a professional or a student from the neuroscience field?

We would like to provide you a space to engage in neuroscience research as well as professional and academic networking. The main goal of this professional section is to discuss Neuroscience research articles and promote networking among researchers and students.

By participating in regular reading group meet-ups, you would be able to discuss research articles related to the psychedelic experience, raise resulting research questions, and envision potential literature reviewing projects with like-minded professionals and students from the neuroscience field.

A bi-monthly lab presentation meet-up will also allow you to get to know other professionals taking part in this project, familiarize yourself with their work, and promote networking and collaborations.

Taking part in this section is a great opportunity to stay updated on the freshly released literature as well as to participate in peer-reviewed research article writing. It could even allow students to get in touch with professionals, possibly finding a tailored internship!

In addition, eminent researchers from our Scientific Advisory Board will occasionally attend the reading group sessions and the best project presented in the lab presentation meetup will receive an award, allowing its initiator to present his work during our next Insight conference!

If you would like to join this network, please go to the MIND Community Platform here and apply there directly.

If you have not signed up for the MCP yet, follow the link below to join the MCP and then request access to “Neuroscience Section” (category on the platform: Projects).

This meetup is intended for health professionals (MHPs, i.e. medical doctors, psychotherapists, supporting professions, paramedics, etc.) who are Members of the MIND Members Association. If you are not a member and interested, please become one, and if you’re not a MHP please join one of our other meetups! We invite Europeans and professionals from outside of the continent to join.

Among others, a focus of the MHP work will be on strategies for approval of psychedelic therapies and training issues around future psychedelic therapists. Meetups are not webinars: they only involve shorter presentations, sometimes have training character, and are intended for discussion and meeting of likewise minds. From time to time we will invite mental health professionals from outside to provide other perspectives.

The MHP Section Meetup will be organized regularly every second week of the month.

Topics of the MHP Section work involve:

1 Representation and organization of the interests of MHPs which thereby contribute to the establishment of standards for medical doctors, psychotherapists, and others who would qualify for working in future psychedelic therapies.

3. Discussing the international, European, and German dimensions of psychedelic therapies and particularly the role of the MHP Section in shaping them.

4. Initiating MIND Academy events related to the further education of MHPs including the Psychedelic Therapist Trainings of the MIND Foundation starting in 2021 – and other training relevant issues.

These meetups are taking place on Zoom, but you need to apply first for the Section here in order to be added to the team.

This meetup is intended for trained and qualified coaches and those who are currently or plan to soon be in the process of training to be a coach.

By trained and qualified we mean, in line with a number of professional bodies, to have gained at least 40 hours of coach training and 75 hours of coaching practice.

We welcome researchers in coaching psychology or a related field, as well therapists and counsellors with an interest in coaching.

This section is a space for professional coaches who want to discuss their coaching practice in relation to the preparation and integration of psychedelics experiences. Members of this section want to raise awareness about, deepen understanding of, and discuss possible solutions to professional issues in coaching in relation to psychedelics.

The section will also organise events in an effort to provide education for coaches interested in offering services around the psychedelic experience..

The Section Meetup will take place every first Wednesday of the month via zoom. If you want to apply to join this section please fill out this form.

The Coaching & Psychedelics Section offers monthly drop-in sessions for new members with the aim to share thoughts, ideas, questions, concerns, feelings, and resources. We’re exploring what a methodology in this area may look like and what coaches need to consider in order to work ethically, legally, and professionally with clients who may contact them to seek support around their psychedelic experiences.

WHO IS THIS GROUP FOR?

Ideally you’ll be a qualified and practicing coach, but therapists, other healthcare professionals or anybody with an interest in coaching & psychedelics is welcome to join.

WHAT WE WILL BE TALKING ABOUT IN THESE MEETINGS
The overarching question we have is: What is the potential for psychedelics and coaching to work together as to benefit coaches, clients and the wider society. In order to explore this question we’ll have conversations about the topics and questions listed below, we’ll share experiences from coaching practice, challenge and question each other, debate, support and, together, advance the knowledge in our field, industry or individual practice. If you’re joining for the first time we’ll ask you to introduce yourself and your interest in the field and to contribute to this conversation any way you can.

Was ist BEYOND EXPERIENCE?

Was erwartet Dich/Sie?

Wichtiger Hinweis
