APT Scholarships

Scholarships for participation in APT

As a non-profit organization, the MIND Foundation awards a limited number of scholarships for each APT course. This serves to facilitate access to the training for particularly well-qualified and highly motivated applicants who could otherwise not participate for financial reasons. The scholarships offer a needs-based discount of up to 100% on the course fees and are aimed at members of the following groups of people: 

  • Individuals who work for charitable organizations 
  • Individuals who work in underdeveloped regions or in areas disadvantaged by war, natural disasters or other geopolitical circumstances 
  • Individuals who work both clinically and scientifically (practitioner-researcher model) 
  • Individuals who work as study therapists in publicly funded clinical trials 
  • Individuals with disabilities or health impairments 
  • Single parents 
  • Individuals who look after relatives in need of care 
  • Individuals affected by flight or displacement 

Please only apply for a scholarship if you belong to one or more of the groups mentioned. 

Scholarships can only be awarded to Individuals who fulfil the general admission criteria for the APT program

Besides these scholarships, APT participants from countries with a significantly lower GDP compared to Germany receive a discount of up to 20% on the course fees. This discount is automatically granted upon admission; a separate application is not necessary. 

To apply for a scholarship, the following documents must be submitted: 

  • Cover letter: A brief letter (max 1 page) detailing your motivation for participating in the APT course, your professional background, and how the scholarship would support your educational or professional goals. This letter should also include a description the relevant circumstances that qualify you for a scholarship according to the above criteria. 
  • CV: A comprehensive overview of your academic and professional history, including relevant skills, certifications, and experience (we recommend to use the Europass CV format).
  • Financial situation statement: A written statement in which you explain your financial situation and the amount up to which you would be able to cover the costs of the training yourself.
  • Reference letter (optional): A letter from a professional colleague or supervisor supporting your application, confirming your qualifications, and recommending your participation in the APT program.
