Tobias Buchborn, PhD

Tobias Buchborn is a German lsychologist with a PhD in neurobiology. His research has been devoted to the mechanism of action of psychedelic drugs (including LSD and DMT), integrating behavioural, cardiovascular, molecular-biological, and neurophysiological aspects. As a recipient of an individual Marie Curie Fellowship, Tobias previously worked at the Imperial College London, where he used optogenetic techniques to explore the corticodynamics of psychedelic 5-HT2A activity. Currently, Tobias is with the Institute of Psychopharmacology, CIMH at Heidelberg University, addressing the applicability of psilocybin in the treatment of addiction.
