Steven N. Gold, PhD, was a professor in the doctoral psychology program of Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, US and the founding Director of NSU’s Trauma Resolution & Integration Program (TRIP) until his retirement from the university in 2020.

He served as inaugural editor of the American Psychological Association’s (APA) scientific journal on trauma psychology, is a past president of APA’s Division of Trauma Psychology, was Editor-in Chief of the APA Handbook of Trauma Psychology, and authored the book Contextual Trauma Therapy. 

He is also a past president of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), and was recently invited to present in ISSTD’s “Living Legend” webinar series.
