Ioana Ivan is a clinical psychologist and a psychotherapy trainee at Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Her psychotherapeutic approach is grounded in process-based CBT, especially Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. 

As a psychedelic researcher, her major focus is extending the applicability of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy from treating mental health disorders to optimizing the training programs for mental health professionals. Her specific interest is to understand under which conditions an assisted psychedelic experience can improve basic competencies, such as empathy and collaboration, extend the repertoire of self-care behaviors and foster self-compassion. She is a co-facilitator in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy groups for students and the general population and co-coordinator of the Cluj-Napoca uniMIND Journal Club.
