Dr. Aryan Sarparast (he/him/his) is a board-certified psychiatrist and Assistant Faculty at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, USA, where he directs the OHSU Psilocybin Education & Assessment Clinic for Excellence (PEACE) focused on psilocybin harm-reduction. He also is the Founder of Penumbra Psychedelic Consultation which provides expert guidance internationally to clinicians/healers working with clients receiving psychedelics. He received his M.D. from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and completed a four-year psychiatry residency at OHSU. He is a collaborator with the Social Neuroscience and Psychotherapy Lab led by his research mentor, Dr. Chris Stauffer, with whom he has published on interactions between psychiatric and psychedelic medicines. He is a Study Physician for a MAPS-sponsored trial on MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for social anxiety led by principle investigator, Dr. Jason Luoma.
